Barbecue season is around the corner, and if you haven't had Baconnaise on a burger, you definitely need to this summer. It really does take burgers to a whole new level. If you're vegetarian, you can even use a Gardenburger or something similar to make a veggie bacon burger.
Here's one of the best recipes we've had so far:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp Peppered Bacon Salt
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 red onion, finely chopped (optional)
- Baconnaise, lettuce, tomato and bun
Mix the ground beef with the egg, breadcrumbs, Peppered Bacon Salt, garlic clove and optional red onion. Oil the grates on your grill (several paper towels and vegetable oil do the trick). Form into 4-6 patties while heating a grill to very high heat. Put burgers on grill and serve with plenty of Baconnaise, lettuce and tomato. For an extra extra bacon kick, you can add strips of bacon with the burger.
Breadcrumbs in a burger? Oh, the shame of it. The rest of it looks okay, but don't ruin good meat with breadcrumbs or egg. Is this a meatloaf bacon burger??

Wow! that Ultimate Baconnaise Burger looks so yummy. Anyway, I will try to make something like that this weekend. Thanks for guiding me through this. Rarely do I find good entries that would walk me through.
