Bacon Salt recipe of the week, breakfast edition. These tasty egg and cheese biscuits are delicious no matter which flavor of Bacon Salt you use.
Bacon Salt and Egg Biscuits
- 8 eggs
- Any flavor Bacon Salt to taste
- 1 cup cheddar, parmesan or sliced American cheese
- 2 cups buttermilk biscuit mix
- 7 tablespoons water
- Green onions (optional)
Mix biscuit mix and water until blended. Place on a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to 1/2" thick, and cut in 3" biscuits. Place on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake at 425 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes until golden brown. While the biscuits are cooking, mix the eggs with the green onions and Bacon Salt and cook in a greased frying pan. Split the hot biscuits, add cheese, eggs and green onion, and serve with an additional sprinkling of Bacon Salt.
