We're happy to announce that Bacon Salt has finally climbed the highest mountain and gone where it has never been before. 2 weeks ago, Team Bacon Salt successfully scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania - the world's highest free standing mountain and the highest point in continental Africa - where they staked the flag for Bacon Salt at an estimated elevation of 19,330 feet. As we're big fans of Ernest Hemingway's "Snows of Kilimanjaro," we think this would have made Papa proud.
Unfortunately, Bacon Salt's little brother Baconnaise was not able to make the trip up the mountain, as freezing mayonnaise is never a good thing. Trust us on this one.
The successful ascent was spearheaded by Isaac Francis (soon to be Knighted by us) and the people in the picture are named Haruni and Haj. We've been told that Tanzanians dig Bacon Salt, so we'll keep all of our Tanzanian customers posted on when we open a remote outpost office and retail presence there.
You guys are awesome. I just wrote a post about Bacon Salt in my blog. Check it out here:
