We got one of the best notes we've gotten from a Marine spouse in San Diego. Her husband Damien, a Marine in Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361 (the Flying Tigers), was just deployed back to Iraq for the second time in 9 months. She asked if we could "raise their spirits" by sending them a bacony surprise from Operation Bacon Salt. She also sent pictures of her husband and their daughter as he left.
No surprise that they're our Operation Bacon Salt unit of the month for February. We've been promised some pictures from the field, which we'll post here when we get them.
