We made both of these together the other night and it was an unreal and awesome dinner that didn't take too long or cost too much to make.
Jalapeno Bacon Salt Pork Chops
Pork chops
Jalapeno Bacon Salt (or Peppered if you don't have Jalapeno)
Onions, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
Olive oil
Coat the pork chops in Jalapeno Bacon Salt and let sit in the fridge overnight (or for a few hours if you're like me and forget to take stuff out and pre-season it the night before). In a frying pan, add 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Turn heat to medium and add garlic, then cook for 1-2 minutes (being careful not to burn the garlic). Add the onions, and cook the onions and garlic for an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the pork chops and cover the frying pan to lock in the juices. Cook for approximately 6-7 minutes per side until the inside of the pork chops reach 160 degrees F.
Breaded Bacon Salt Green Beans
1-2 lbs of fresh green beans (chop off the ends)
3 tablespoons of butter
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup dried breadcrumbs
1-2 tablespoons Peppered Bacon Salt (to taste)
In a frying or sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and Peppered Bacon Salt and saute for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add green beans and cook until crisp tender. Remove from heat and add breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese, mix together.
Serve with the pork chops. For extra deliciousness, some of the breading can be used as a topping for the pork chops.
