Bacon Salt Recipe: Grilled Potato Appetizers

Potatoes This is kind of a fun one that we made for a dinner party we had not too long ago. It was well received and simple to make! It's like a loaded miniature baked potato.

Grilled Potato Appetizers

  • 5-10 baking potatoes (depending on number of people you're serving)
  • Melted butter
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Green onions
  • Bacon Salt

Heat grill on high. Slice potatoes into 1/4 to 1/2" round slices, and brush with melted butter on both sides. Grill for 2-4 minutes per side on an oiled grill (rubbing the grill with vegetable oil on a paper towel works well), and in the last minute of cooking cover the tops with a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese. Check for doneness and remove from heat. Mix sour cream with Bacon Salt to taste, and serve the potatoes with a dollop of sour cream mixture on top, green onions for garnish, and another little sprinkle of Bacon Salt.
