Holidays are a great time to whip up great dips for people to munch on while you cook your holiday turkeys, whether it's Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or anything else you feel like celebrating. Here's a great recipe for a dip that will bring everyone together submitted from a Bacon Salt lover in Texas:
Creamy Bacon Salt Dip
This stuff is simply to die for.
- I 12oz tub of Philidelphia cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
- Bacon Salt
Add your favorite Bacon Salt to taste. I like to use Hickory, because its my favorite, however original works really well here as does Peppered. In this recipe you can really use a lot, but it depends on how much you like. I like a lot of bacon flavor, so I usually use several tablespoons. Again, use to taste.
Use with pretzel sticks or your favorite crackers. It also goes great on toast, and is even really good with celery if you want to keep it low cal.
