An 80+ store chain here in Seattle called QFC (Quality Food Centers) has just put Bacon Salt on their shelves, just in time for Thanksgiving. My father in law worked for QFC for many years, which definitely helped us get an initial meeting with their buyer, but once we were in the door, we quickly found out that QFC really is committed to supporting local companies like ours. In fact, they really moved mountains to make it happen before turkey day. So thank you QFC, and happy shopping to all of our Seattle area customers! Your Thanksgiving green beans, turkeys and stuffing will never be the same (speaking of which - if you have any great Thanksgiving Bacon Salt recipes to share, please send to us at recipes@baconsalt.com). Based on what we've seen in other stores, expect them to run out fast.
We're working on getting in stores in other areas of the country outside of the Pacific Northwest, which for a small company like ours isn't exactly easy. We have representatives starting to work with us in other areas, but the most effective way to get us into a store near you is to:
- Ask for the grocery manager at your local store
- Ask him/her to stock Bacon Salt
It's not always that simple, but that's usually what it takes to get the conversation rolling. If you have a specific store that you're interested in getting Bacon Salt in, please email us at passthebacon@baconsalt.com and we'll do our best to get it there.
