In the last month, over 2,000 people in 18 countries have received Bacon Salt. That means that there have to be a zillion recipes by now. So to help people understand the wonders of Bacon Salt, we thought we'd host a little recipe contest. The prize? A year of free Bacon Salt, delivered to your door - and first crack at some of the new flavors we're working on (you'll drool when you hear them). We'll post some of the best ones here and on our website. Enter early, enter often - just enter!
Please email your recipes to: recipes@baconsalt.com. Pictures are always appreciated as well! We'll be judging these in our own test kitchen based on taste, originality and appearance.

Seeing as this is our first recipe contest, we thought we'd give it about a month to get all the entries - but we're novices at this, so we'll see how many we get by then and decide whether we want to continue getting more. We'll give you all at least a week notice before we close the entries though!

I'm a Professional Chef in the SF Bay Area--kudos for having such a simple yet brilliant idea. Haven't had a chance to read all the recipes, but I don't see tomatoes mentioned anywhere...
Vegetarian BLT salad:
Cut Roma tomatoes in half, remove core. Shred Iceberg, pile in middle of plate. Lay tomatoes on lettuce, flesh side up, drizzle generously with vinaigrette made with:
1 cup e.v. olive oil
1/3 cup Malt Vinegar (or Balsamic, whatever--Bacon flavor goes great with the Malt flavor)
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Pepper Flavored Bacon salt to taste
Thin sliced garlic cloves--as much as you can stand
Notify me where to pick up my prize money!

I got my baconsalt this past weekend. I've already put it on eggs and in bean and rice and my soup the other day. It is just what I wanted. I'm thinking furiously to figure out what recipe to send.
